Given the technical and regulatory complexity of aircraft components, close proximity to suppliers is important to companies such as Turbomeca. "When we're doing our sourcing, we're always looking for somebody that's geographically close to us. We want to work with them and be there for them as they go through the validation process, which can be very time-consuming and complex."
